Ojai (Pronounced Oh Hi) Lion
This story came to me as I was hiking around in the mountains around Ojai, California, during the Village of Tales Ojai Storytelling Festival. There was a real threat of mountain lions attacking, so I was hiking around with a rock in my hand, figuring to brain any mountain lion trying to snack on me. Then, as I began to feel foolish about the stone in my hand, I started thinking of non-violent ways to resolve an imminent lion attack. This is the first story I've told before I put it on paper.
